Abstrak: Kajian ini bertujuan meneliti amalan penerapan elemen motivasi dalam penyediaan Rancangan Pengajaran Harian (RPH) oleh guru sekolah rendah di negeri Perak. Reka bentuk penyelidikan campuran digunakan bagi menggabungkan kaedah kuantitatif dan kualitatif untuk memberikan gambaran yang menyeluruh terhadap fenomena yang dikaji. Seramai 377 guru terlibat dalam kajian kuantitatif, manakala lima guru dipilih untuk temu bual mendalam. Dapatan menunjukkan tahap pengetahuan dan amalan guru terhadap elemen motivasi berada pada tahap tinggi. Hubungan positif signifikan ditemui antara pengetahuan dan amalan guru dalam penerapan elemen motivasi. Ujian ANOVA dan ujian-t menunjukkan tiada perbezaan signifikan berdasarkan mata pelajaran dan lokasi sekolah. Analisis tematik menemukan empat tema utama: (i) objektif pembelajaran yang memotivasikan, (ii) aktiviti pembelajaran menyeronokkan, (iii) penilaian menyokong motivasi, dan (iv) persekitaran bilik darjah kondusif. Kajian mencadangkan latihan berterusan (CPD) diperhebat bagi meningkatkan kecekapan guru menerapkan motivasi dalam RPH.
Abstract: This study aimed to examine the practice of applying motivational elements in the preparation of Daily Lesson Plans (RPH) among primary school teachers in Perak, Malaysia. A mixed-method design combining quantitative and qualitative approaches was employed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. A total of 377 teachers participated in the quantitative phase, while five teachers were involved in in-depth interviews. Findings revealed that teachers demonstrated high levels of knowledge and practice in applying motivational elements. Correlation analysis showed a significant positive relationship between teachers’ knowledge and their application in lesson planning. No significant differences were found based on subject or school location. Thematic analysis identified four themes: motivational objectives, engaging activities, supportive assessment, and conducive classroom environment. The study recommends strengthening continuous professional development (CPD) to enhance teachers’ ability to integrate motivation in lesson planning.
