Abstract

Abstrak: Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan telah dilaksanakan bermula 18 Mac 2020 yang mengarahkan semua institusi pendidikan di seluruh Malaysia ditutup. Pembelajaran atas talian di rumah adalah salah satu kaedah yang digunakan oleh guru bagi melaksanakan sesi pengajaran dan pembelajaran di rumah. Namun begitu, cabaran ibu bapa dalam melibatkan diri dan menyediakan persekitaran pembelajaran di rumah yang kondusif dilihat akan menjadi punca utama masalah ketidakhadiran Murid Berkeperluan Khas Bermasalah Pembelajaran ke kelas pembelajaran atas talian di rumah. Oleh itu, kajian ini dijalankan bagi mengenalpasti cabaran-cabaran yang dihadapi oleh ibu bapa MBK bermasalah pembelajaran semasa pembelajaran atas talian di rumah. Teori yang digunakan bagi kajian ini ialah teori ekologi yang diperkenalkan oleh Uri Bronfenbrenner. Kajian ini melibatkan 80 orang ibu bapa MBK bermasalah pembelajaran yang mengikuti Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi di sekolah. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah tinjauan. Kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan data ini telah disahkan oleh dua orang pakar daripada bidang pendidikan khas dan pakar bahasa. Hasil dapatan kajian mendapati bahawa cabaran yang paling utama adalah penglibatan ibu bapa MBK bermasalah pembelajaran semasa pembelajaran atas talian di rumah iaitu tidak mahir dalam penggunaan media sosial, e-mel dan platform pendidikan atas talian. Terhadap juga cabaran-cabaran lain yang dihadapi oleh ibu bapa MBK semasa pembelajaran atas talian di rumah. Cabaran penglibatan dan persekitaran yang diperolehi berdasarkan analisis kajian akan dapat membantu ibu bapa dalam mengatasinya lebih awal bagi memastikan MBK bermasalah pembelajaran dapat mengikuti pembelajaran atas talian dengan lebih baik.

Abstract: The Movement Control Order was implemented on 18 March 2020, which ordered all educational institutions throughout Malaysia to be closed. Online learning was one of the methods used by the teachers to implement home-based teaching and learning. However, the parental challenge in engaging and providing a conducive learning environment at home was seen to be the main cause of absenteeism of Special Needs Students with Learning Difficulties to online classes at home. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the challenges faced by parents of SNS with learning difficulties during online learning at home. Ecological theory by Uri Bronfenbrenner was used. This study involved 80 parents of SNS with learning difficulties who attended the Special Education Integration Program in schools. This study used a survey method. Data validity and reliability were confirmed by two experts from the field of special education and language. The results of the study found that the major challenge was the involvement of parents of SNS with learning difficulties during online learning at home, in which they were not proficient to use social media, e-mail, and online educational platforms. There are also other challenges faced by SNS parents during online learning at home. The involvement and environmental challenges obtained based on the study analysis would help parents overcome the problems earlier on to ensure that SNS with learning difficulties could be better involved in online learning.
