Abstrak: Pembelajaran nahu amat penting untuk dikuasai oleh pelajar yang mempelajari bahasa Arab. Tanpa pengetahuan dan kemahiran nahu, mereka tidak dapat menguasainya dengan baik bahkan akan mewujudkan pelbagai kesalahan tanpa pedoman dalam menyampaikan maklumat sama ada melalui penulisan mahupun komunikasi. Justeru itu, bagi mengelakkan kesalahan terus berlaku, pelajar perlu menggunakan pelbagai strategi bagi meningkatkan penguasaan mereka terhadap nahu khususnya aspek masa kata kerja Arab. Oleh hal demikian, kajian tinjauan ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap penggunaan strategi pembelajaran nahu dalam menguasai aspek masa kata kerja Arab dan tahap penguasaan aspek masa kata kerja Arab dalam kalangan pelajar pengajian arab di Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia. Seramai 44 orang pelajar Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pengajian Arab dan Tamadun Islam, UKM telah dipilih secara rawak sebagai reponden. Dapatan kajian mendapati tahap penggunaan strategi pembelajaran nahu dalam kalangan pelajar pengajian arab di Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia dalam menguasai aspek masa kata kerja Arab berada pada tahap sederhana (min = 3.35). Manakala tahap penguasaan aspek masa kata kerja Arab dalam kalangan pelajar pengajian arab di Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia pula berada pada tahap sederhana. Justeru itu, bagi memperbaiki dan meningkatkan penguasaan aspek masa kata kerja Arab, pelajar perlu meningkatkan penggunaan bahasa Arab sama ada di dalam atau di luar kelas, penggunaan strategi pembelajaran nahu dan peningkatan motivasi dalam diri pelajar. Manakala tenaga pengajar pula perlu memainkan peranan dengan meningkatkan kecekapan mereka dalam pengajaran topik tersebut selain daripada menggunakan kaedah dan bahan bantu mengajar yang sesuai bergantung kepada tahap dan keupayaan pelajar.
Abstract: Grammar Learning is very important to be mastered by students who are learning Arabic. Without knowledge and grammatical skills, they cannot master it well and will even create various errors without guidance in conveying information either through writing or communication. Therefore, in order to prevent further errors, students need to use various strategies to improve their mastery of grammar, especially the timing aspect of Arabic verbs. This study aims to identify the level of use of grammar learning strategies in mastering Arabic verbs and the level mastery of the time aspect of Arabic verbs among students of arabic studies in Malaysian Institutions of Higher Learning. 44 students of the Bachelor of Arabic Studies and Islamic Civilization, UKM were randomly selected as respondents. The results shows that the level of use of grammar learning strategies among students of arabic studies in Malaysian Institutions of Higher Learning in mastering the time aspect of Arabic verbs in medium frequency (mean = 3.35) and the mastery of the time aspect of Arabic verbs among students of arabic studies in Malaysian Institutions of Higher Learning in medium frequency. Therefore, in order to improve and enhance the mastery of the time aspect of Arabic verbs, students need to increase the use of Arabic either in or outside the classroom, the use of grammar learning strategies and increase motivation in students. While the teaching staff need to play a role by improving their efficiency in teaching the topic other than using appropriate methods and teaching aids depending on the level and ability of students.
