Abstract

Abstrak: Kemunculan platform digital dalam talian telah mengubah cara masyarakat di era ini mengakses maklumat. Platform digital kini dipenuhi dengan pelbagai pengetahuan yang lebih luas, mudah diakses, dan difahami. Sebagai contoh, video berdurasi pendek kini lebih menarik minat penonton untuk mempelajari topik-topik tertentu. Sumber maklumat dapat dijumpai di laman web, blog, YouTube serta platform media sosial seperti TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Komik Digital dan lain-lain. Namun, meskipun terdapat kemudahan ini, penggunaan media digital dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam, terutamanya melalui konsep bite-sized learning, masih kurang diterapkan. Kajian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahawa kebanyakan guru Pendidikan Islam (GPI) cenderung menggunakan pendekatan syarahan atau ceramah berbanding memberi tumpuan kepada pembelajaran moden yang melibatkan elemen media dan digital. Oleh itu, tujuan utama kajian ini adalah untuk mengkaji persepsi guru Pendidikan Islam terhadap konsep bite-sized learning dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam. Kajian ini dilaksanakan dengan reka bentuk kuantitatif melibatkan 103 orang responden yang terdiri daripada guru Pendidikan Islam di 9 buah sekolah rendah di Zon Semenyih, daerah Hulu Langat, Selangor. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal selidik yang terbahagi kepada dua bahagian, bahagian A berkaitan dengan demografi responden, manakala bahagian B merangkumi item-item berkaitan persepsi GPI terhadap konsep bite-sized learning dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa persepsi guru Pendidikan Islam terhadap konsep bite-sized learning adalah berada pada tahap yang tinggi dengan nilai min 4.12. Implikasi kajian ini dapat memperkukuh penggunaan pembelajaran digital di kalangan guru Pendidikan Islam dan memberi pandangan bahawa konsep bite-sized learning adalah teknik pengajaran yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman serta pencapaian pelajar dalam Pendidikan Islam.

Abstract: The emergence of online digital platforms has transformed the way society accesses information in this era. Digital platforms are now filled with a wide range of knowledge that is more accessible and easier to understand. For example, short-duration videos now attract more viewers to learn about specific topics. Information sources can be found on websites, blogs, YouTube, as well as social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Digital Comics, and others. However, despite these conveniences, the use of digital media in Islamic Education learning, particularly through the concept of bite-sized learning, is still underutilized. Previous studies show that most Islamic Education teachers (GPI) tend to use lecture-based approaches rather than focusing on modern learning that involves media and digital elements. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to examine Islamic Education teachers' perceptions of the concept of bite-sized learning in Islamic Education learning. This study was conducted using a quantitative design involving 103 respondents consisting of Islamic Education teachers in 9 primary schools in the Semenyih Zone, Hulu Langat District, Selangor. The instrument used was a questionnaire, divided into two sections: Section A related to the respondents' demographics, while Section B included items related to the GPI's perceptions of the concept of bite-sized learning in Islamic Education learning. The data collected were analyzed descriptively. The findings indicate that the perceptions of Islamic Education teachers towards the concept of bite-sized learning are at a high level, with a mean value of 4.12. The implications of this study can strengthen the use of digital learning among Islamic Education teachers and provide the view that the concept of bite-sized learning is a teaching technique that can enhance students' understanding and achievement in Islamic Education.
