MUBALAGHAT AL-QURRA’ AL-MU’ASIRAH [EXAGGERATIONS OF CONTEMPORARY AL-QURRA’]
Keywords:
Exaggerations, reciter, responsibility, correct readingAbstract
There is no doubt that Qira'at ('recitations or readings of noble Qur’an are "the different linguistic, lexical, phonetic, morphological and syntactical forms permitted with reciting the Qur’an") is a followed Sunnah that Muslims receive as early as (it was) possible, which has its own regulations and principles. In addition, that the correct reading is an easy chain without arbitrariness, artificiality, or stretching & dragging, or increase or decrease. Moreover, the intellectuals especially from the last centuries have found that science of Qira'at has gone far away from its original traditional form and have become difficult, especially for those who are the students of the science of maqamat, (Reading denominators are natural phonemic denominators that enhance expressive performance and tonal workmanship, and it is from auxiliary sciences). This is where the problem lies in. Exaggeration takes the Qira'at out of its splendor, brilliance, grace and beauty. Accordingly, the research aims to clarify the ruling on exaggeration, artificiality, and the most important its types, using the descriptive analytical method. From the results, it appears to us: Exaggeration in reading was a dispraised, disgraceful among those who performed from the early ages of Islam and afterwards. Scholars have warned of it, both from past and present. Moreover, that the exaggeration is not only in our present time, it was also there in our ancestor`s time. Therefore, they warned against it and mentioned it in their books. In the past, people used to read the Qur’an properly according to their languages, until the people different cities (outside of peninsular Arabia) came and the Arabs (from peninsular Arabia) mixed with them. Thus, began the changing and artificiality and the emergence of immoderateness and negligence.
