Abstract

Abstract: The problem of moral collapse, misconduct and discipline of teenagers is increasingly becoming more and more problematic in this state-of-the-moment Malaysian society.  Past studies on discipline issues have previously identified the causes of these symptoms which are associated with several factors, such as peer influence, lack of affection from parents who are the best examples of each other and environmental factors as well as the internal factors of youth itself. Hence, this paper will try to parse the contribution of tasawwuf Abu Talib al-Makki thinking for the purpose of mentazkiyah teenagers who are disciplined and morally impaired to achieve the goal of the Philosophy of Education to produce people who are emotionally, spiritually, intellectually and physically balanced. Abu Talib al-Makki's contribution in the field of tasawwuf is very large and should be given attention in educating the souls and hearts of Muslim teenagers especially in order to achieve the 'hubb' of affection in the next life can prevent them from these unhealthy anasir. The methodology of the study is in the form of a study of the text qut al-Qulub by Abu Talib al-Makki which further suggests the application of nine maqamat which include repentance, patience, gratitude, raja', khawf, zuhud, tawakkal, redha, and mahabbah in filling the voidness of the troubled teen's conscience. The results found that the nine maqamat organised by Abu Talib al-Makki can be used to help teenagers with disciplinary and moral problems in accordance with the Ministry of Education's intention to create the creation of pupils.
