Abstract: There is no doubt that contemporary internal security breakdowns, accompanied by various internal factors and changes in lifestyle, along with the loss of normal life in affected communities, have contributed and continue to contribute to the formation of complex and socially disintegrated communities. In most cases, the ruling authority is a key player in these internal security breakdowns. Contemporary security breakdowns have left individuals in a state of confusion, where the state barely resolves one security issue and breakdown before another problem and new security breakdown emerge. Historical and contemporary accounts reveal a dangerous phenomenon that has negatively impacted the lives of groups, peoples, nations, and states: the phenomenon of state security breakdown, particularly those arising from vendettas and banditry. This is where the research problem lies. This research aims to identify the causes that have led to the outbreak of vendettas and banditry in contemporary society, and to understand the Quranic guidance in addressing these security breakdowns. The research follows an analytical method to explore the Quranic guidance in addressing the phenomena of vendettas and banditry, and to analyze the factors that have led to these phenomena. The research has yielded several findings, including that the absence of security breakdowns among members of society will enable them to lead normal lives. Internal security breakdowns lead to the spread of violence, crimes, and conflicts among people. Islam has paid attention to addressing the causes of security breakdowns and finding solutions to eliminate these causes through Quranic guidance.
