Abstract: The Houthi movement is not born today, as some imagine. Rather, it is an Imamate thought that has its roots in an era in Yemen's history that extends for more than a thousand years.The research problem appears in that what the Houthi movement is doing in Yemen today in terms of destruction of property, killing on the name of identity, bombing of mosques, and the role of the Qur’an, is only a product of this slanted education, and herein the main research problem lies. The research aims to identify the ideological roots that have left their impact on Islamic thought in general, and Yemeni political thought in particular.It also aims to identify what made those roots surviving, present and inherited, which has caused many problems, wars, and conflicts within Yemeni society. Methodology: The article used the inductive and descriptive approach, as it relies on collecting materials. Then it refers to the research literature from sources, references, and previous studies. It after that collects, classifies, studies , discusses and comments on the materials from it. The results: This article will contribute to revealing the true face of this movement and how dangerous enabling it to power and rule in the country.This will also have impacts on educating the community and changing its view on this movement. Among of these impacts are confining this movement, rejecting it, fighting it, standing against it, blocking its ideas and projects in the country, and preventing the achievement of its goals.It will also have a great impact in correcting the course of life by directing the society to what serves their religion and country away from the narrow goals of groups and personal interests.
