Abstract

This study aimed at developing a Re-Imagining UTAUT2 model in using Google Classroom among Science teachers amid COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers, students, and education stakeholders around the world have been urgently exploring ways to reduce the effects of the pandemic on the education sector. The research objective is to assess the level of importance of the Re-Imagining UTAUT2 Exogenous constructs: Performance Expectancy (PE), Perceived Compatibility (PC), Social Influence (SI), Facilitating Conditions (FC), Hedonic Motivation (HM), Habit (HB), Price Value (PV), and Effort Expectancy (EE) that influence the Behavioral Intention (BI) to Actual Use (AU) of Google Classroom among Science teachers. A Quantitative Cross-sectional study was carried out on 421 out of 3,530 Science teachers from Secondary schools in Perak via a survey questionnaire. Descriptive Statistic was done using IBM-SPSS Version 22.0 on 361 valid responses. For the constructs with high mean, SI has the highest mean score 3.946, SD=.771 followed by EE with mean score 3.85, SD=.702, AU with mean score 3.842, SD=.743, BI with mean score 3.732, SD=.725, PC with mean score 3.697, SD=.590, PE with mean score 3.366, SD=.745 and PV with mean score 3.457, SD=.797.  Meanwhile, HM has a moderate level with mean value 3.10, SD=.820 and HB, FC at low level with mean score 2.536, SD=.756 and mean score 1.886, SD=.772 respectively. The gain attained from the findings bridge the research gaps and add value to the scientific body of research.
