Abstract

Lecturer competence is one of the essential parts of the process of educational innovation. The condition of covid-19, which required limitations in the learning process, has an impact on decreasing lecturer competence and whether knowledge management and training programs affect lecturers' competencies. This research aims to find the critical factors of the variables that can improve lecturer competence. Method: This research uses a proportional random sampling method and SEM-Smart PLS data analysis techniques in the quantitative research method. Result: it is discovered that knowledge management has an effect on competence with a p-value of 0.003 <0.05 and t-statistics value tcount > ttable (2.991 > 1.96), and the training program does not affect competence with a p-value of 0.923 > 0.05 and a t-statistics tcount > ttabe (0.097 <1.96). Conclusion: the results of this research indicate that knowledge management is directly predicted to increase competency through application efforts, which is the application of knowledge on the job and training programs directly do not have a significant effect on competence, but if efforts to improve facilities to apply training results can be increased then it is predicted to increase competency.
