Abstract
Abstract: This research is related to the strategies of Bachelor of Arabic Language students in learning the science of rhetoric. This study aims to identify the level of student knowledge, the problems faced, and the strategies in learning Science of Rhetoric used by students as a way to ease the burden of students who find this subject difficult. This article discusses strategies students use to improve their knowledge of rhetoric. This research has used a descriptive analysis approach by conducting a questionnaire to fifty respondents from sixth-semester students in the Arabic Studies course. The researcher chose this sample because they had studied the subject of science rhetoric in the fifth semester. There are some identified problems faced by students that can interfere them from mastering this knowledge. Among the strategies chosen by students is the social strategy. The results showed that most of the sample agreed that this strategy was able to improve their understanding in learning the science of rhetoric, with a percentage of 76%. Whereas, the application strategy is a strategy that is less used by students in learning the science of rhetoric with a percentage of 46%. This is because their learning is focused on memorizing examples and methods, while focusing less on application elements..
