MODEL PENDIDIKAN WARGA EMAS: PEMBANGUNAN INSAN BERTERUSAN [ELDERLY EDUCATION MODEL: CONTINUOUS HUMAN DEVELOPMENT]

Abstract

Abstrak: Model Pendidikan Warga Emas: Pembangunan Insan Berterusan merujuk kepada pendekatan atau rangka kerja pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk memenuhi keperluan pembangunan individu dalam kalangan golongan warga emas secara berterusan terutamanya aspek-aspek seperti kesihatan, kebolehan mental, keselamatan, kebolehan sosial, dan kebolehan emosi. Model ini diperlukan kerana terdapat kekurangan dalam penawaran program pendidikan yang khusus dan efektif untuk memenuhi keperluan pembelajaran sepanjang hayat dan pembangunan insan warga emas. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk menyenaraikan keperluan dan sukatan kurikulum yang sesuai untuk warga emas serta mengenal pasti tempat belajar yang sesuai bagi golongan warga emas. Kajian ini adalah kajian kualitatif yang menggunakan kaedah tinjauan literatur sistematik (SLR). Kajian ini sangat penting bagi menyusun senarai keperluan dan sukatan kurikulum yang sesuai untuk warga emas dan juga mengenal pasti persekitaran pembelajaran yang bersesuaian dengan keperluan golongan warga emas dari segi aksesibiliti, kemudahan fizikal, dan faktor-faktor lain yang membolehkan mereka mudah mendapatkan pendidikan. Hasil kajian ini menyatakan Pendidikan Warga Emas harus berteraskan kerohanian dan kasih sayang. Kemudahan tempat belajar yang sesuai mampu memenuhi keperluan warga emas untuk membina jati diri yang kuat. Teori atau model pembelajaran sebagai panduan tanpa mengabaikan aspek utama dan terpenting iaitu hati dan perasaan warga emas untuk belajar. Peranan guru perlu diperkasakan seiring dengan era globalisasi agar guru dapat dilihat benar-benar berfungsi dalam membantu warga emas. Abstract: The Elderly Education Model: Continuous Human Development refers to an approach or educational framework that aims to meet the needs of individual development among the elderly on an ongoing basis, especially aspects such as health, mental abilities, safety, social abilities, and emotional abilities. This model is needed because there is a shortage in the provision of specific and effective educational programs to meet the lifelong learning and development needs of the elderly. The objective of this study is to list the needs and measures of the curriculum suitable for the elderly as well as identify suitable learning places for the elderly. This study is a qualitative study that uses a systematic literature review (SLR) method. This study is very important to compile a list of curriculum requirements and measures that are suitable for the elderly and also identify a learning environment that is suitable for the needs of the elderly in terms of accessibility, physical facilities, and other factors that allow them to easily obtain education. The results of this study stated that Elderly Education should be based on spirituality and love. Appropriate learning facilities are able to meet the needs of the elderly to build a strong identity. Learning theory or model as a guide without neglecting the main and most important aspect which is the heart and feelings of the elderly to learn. The role of teachers needs to be strengthened in line with the era of globalization so that teachers can be seen to really function in helping the elderly. It can be concluded that the Elderly Education Model should be compiled and built based on the needs of each elderly person himself.
