Abstract

Abstract: The implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) around the world is still centered on practices from the West that only focus on external impact only. Nowadays, the implementation of QMS is no longer emphasizes on the output aspect of quality products or services alone, but also emphasizes its impact on the internal aspects or softfactors holistically. In this regard, the implementation of Islamic QMS was first introduced in organizations in the country and the problem gap is that each organization tries to implement it separately with their respective approaches. Thus, this article is to explore in more depth about the effectiveness of the implementation of teamwork in Shariah-Based QMS (MS1900: 2014) by organizations that have successfully obtained its certification. This study uses a quantitative methodology with survey method with selected respondents in the Malaysian Private Higher Institution. Basically, the results of this study can produce another empirical study for MS1900, so that the noble values which are Shariah compliant, namely the value of teamwork can be practiced by every individual in any organization and can create an excellent organization in this world and hereafter.
