Abstract

Abstrak: Motivasi, yang berasal dari perkataan Latin 'movere', merupakan konstruk psikologi yang telah menjadi fokus kajian utama dalam memahami kecenderungan individu untuk menjalankan suatu tindakan atau aktiviti. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap motivasi pasca pandemik dan perbezaannya antara jantina dalam kalangan guru Pendidikan Islam di Daerah Klang, Selangor. Artikel ini menyumbang dalam meningkatkan produktiviti guru dengan memahami lebih mendalam tahap motivasi dan perbezaan berdasarkan jantina dalam konteks era pasca pandemik. Metodologi yang digunakan bersifat kuantitatif, menggunakan kaedah tinjauan yang melibatkan sampel sebanyak 318 guru Pendidikan Islam di Daerah Klang, Selangor. Analisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) telah dilaksanakan untuk mendapatkan nilai min, sisihan piawai, jumlah kekerapan, dan peratusan. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa tahap motivasi responden secara keseluruhan, khususnya dalam aspek sosial, minat, dan cabaran, adalah tinggi. Terdapat perbezaan signifikan dalam tahap motivasi pasca pandemik antara responden lelaki dan perempuan. Dapatan ini memberikan gambaran yang lebih terperinci mengenai tahap motivasi intrinsik berdasarkan teori Hierarki Maslow dan McClelland. Implikasinya adalah praktikal, di mana pihak pengurusan, guru, dan masyarakat dapat memahami realiti motivasi guru Pendidikan Islam. Langkah-langkah yang sesuai boleh diambil untuk meningkatkan keberkesanan pengajaran dan pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam di Malaysia, khususnya selepas menghadapi pandemik.

Abstract: Motivation, derived from the Latin word 'movere,' is a psychological construct that has been a central focus of studies in understanding individuals' tendencies to engage in specific actions or activities. This article aims to identify the levels of post-pandemic motivation and its differences between genders among Islamic Education teachers in the Klang District, Selangor. The study holds significant importance in enhancing teachers' productivity by gaining a deeper understanding of motivation levels and gender-based differences in the post-pandemic era. The research methodology employed is quantitative, utilizing a survey method involving a sample of 318 Islamic Education teachers in the Klang District, Selangor. Descriptive analysis using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was conducted to obtain minimum values, standard deviations, frequency totals, and percentages. The research findings indicate that the overall motivation levels of the respondents, particularly in the social, interest, and challenge aspects, are high. There is a significant difference in post-pandemic motivation levels between male and female respondents. These findings provide a more detailed overview of intrinsic motivation levels based on the theories of Maslow's Hierarchy and McClelland. The practical implications involve the understanding of the reality of motivation among Islamic Education teachers. Appropriate measures can be taken by management, teachers, and the community to enhance the effectiveness of Islamic Education teaching and learning in Malaysia, especially in the aftermath of the pandemic.
