Abstract: Quality management is becoming more and more important today. The conventional system of ISO 9001 has helped millions of organizations to boost the performance. The Islamization of knowledge, which was rooted since the earlier years, has also been extended to the branches of Islamic quality management. The Islamic quality management system has begun to take root, and this study intends to examine Islam's viewpoint on quality theory and find out what principles and elements distinguish between conventional quality and Islamic quality. The implementation of the Islamic quality management system in organisations in Malaysia was also explored to identify the challenges, benefits and processes in implementing the standard. For this study, a systematic literature review (SLR) of peer-reviewed journal articles on the Islamic quality management system was conducted. A total of 60 articles published during 2010–2024 were collected from three major management science publishers, namely Emerald Online, Elsevier/Science Direct and Google Scholar. Based on a systematic literature review, there are 60 research papers and studies on Islamic quality management in Malaysia from 2010 to 2024, of which only 26 are studies and literatures whose findings cover the main topic of the research questions.
