مستوى فهم المفردات اللغوية لدى طلبة المركز التمهيدي بجامعة العلوم الإسلامية الماليزية [THE UNDERSTANDING LEVEL OF ARABIC VOCABULARY AMONG STUDENTS OF TAMHĪDĪ CENTRE, UNIVERSITI SAINS ISLAM MALAYSIA]

Abstract

ملخص :تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى فهم المفردات اللغوية لدى طلبة المركز التمهيدي بجامعة العلوم الإسلامية الماليزية. واعتمد الباحثان على المنهج الكمي؛ حيث وزعّتْ صحيفة الاختبارعلى  (100) طالب وطالبة عشوائيًا في خمسة برامج، : الطب الأسنان ، والعلوم والتكنولوجي، والشريعة والقانون والمحاسبة والمعاملات. وطلبا منهم بترجمة معاني     المفردات الغوية الشائعة استخدامها في النصوص العربية ثم قاما بتحليلها باستخدام  برانمج التحليل اللإحصئي (SPSS) من حيث  تكرارها  ونسبتها المئوية ونسبة المتوسط الحسابي. وقد و جدا أنّ مستوى اكتساب الطلبة بالمفردات الغوية معتدل حيث تتمثل .قيمة الموسط الحسبي ب (2،00) ويلي ذلك، قام الباحثان ببيان أهم اآلاثر التي تترتب على هذا المستوى من وجهة نظر عينة الطلبة. ويف نهاية البحث، حاولا أن يقدما التوصيات المناسبة التي يرجى منها أن تكون نافعة للجامعات، والأكادمييني، والمسؤولين في هذا المجال .

Abstract: This study was aimed to investigate the understanding level of Arabic vocabulary among students of Tamhidi Centre, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). The quantitative study was conducted by distributing questionnaire to 100 male and female students randomly from 5 different programmes: Tamhidi of Medic, Tamhidi of Dentistry, Tamhidi of Science and Technology, Tamhidi of Shariah and Law, and Tamhidi of Accounting and Muamalat. Respondents are required to translate the meaning of common vocabularies used in Arabic text. The data were analyzed by using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) to identify frequencies, percentages and means. The result shown that the proficiency level of Arabic language among Tamhidi Centre students was moderate. The factors that lead to the weaknesses of proficiency level also discussed from the respondent’s perspective. At the end of this study, several proposed recommendations were shared to benefit the universities, the academicians and those who are responsible in this area.
