Abstract

Abstract: This article, titled "The Meanings of the Active Form “صيغة فاعل” in the Poem 'Kashf       Al-Ghummah Fi Madh Sayyid Al-Ummah' by Mahmoud Sami Al-Baroudi: A Morphological Study," aims to examine the verbs used by the poet in the active form to explore the meanings acquired by these verbs because of the addition of the letter "alif" after the letter "fa" in their root. The approach of the article to achieve this goal is to analyze the poem and extract the verbs in this form, then break them down according to the meanings conveyed by the addition. The article will briefly mention the biography of the poet Al-Baroudi, followed by the opinions of linguistic scholars regarding the meanings conveyed by this type of addition in verbs. Finally, the article will analyze the additional verbs found in the poem, focusing on the dictionary of contemporary Arabic language by Dr. Ahmed Mukhtar Abdel Hamid Omar, in presenting the conjugations of the words to be analyzed.
