Abstract

Abstract: Based on the interest in literature, especially the Maqamat, and being influenced by the methods of modern criticism, and keeping pace with the revolution of scientific and social life developments and the influence of the language of discourse used in the text of the Maqamat, the study focused on Ibn Kassab’s Maqamat, to study the semiotics of voice and its accessories such as chanting, screaming, and even silence, and to clarify its significance and signals and reveal aspects of influence on the mechanisms, the structure and the interconnection of this theme with the rest of the elements of the Maqamat. The research problem revolves around the effect of voice on the aesthetics of the building of Ibn Kassab’s Maqamat, which raises the problem in tracing the connotations of this theme by rooting its semiotics; where does the secret of language semiotics lie in the text of Maqamat? how does the theme of voice in the Maqama text help with its spread and acceptance of its aesthetics? how can voice be considered an active part of language and a form of discourse? Semiotics is a modern science that keeps pace with the revolution in life that societies are experiencing, and maqamat is a unique art that contains stability in some elements, so it was necessary to study the extent of the influence of voice on the aesthetics of this text and its spread. The importance of the research lies in presenting what is new in the field of linguistic aesthetics of the Maqamat, which has become forgotten despite its quality, good casting, and the lack of its creators. The research adopts the descriptive analytical-semiotic approach to sound according to Ibn Kassab. The result of the study was that the voice had a semiotic impact on Ibn Kassab, as it expresses psychological components and living reality. This study can be considered a partial contribution to the study of the semiotics of verbal relations among the writer and others, and it added a new addition to the study of various semiotics of words and their relations in the Arabic text.
